Uzbekistan's southernmost region is one of its most surprising. In ancient Termez you walk among Buddhist stupas and Silk Road shrines; in the Boysun mountains you enter a UNESCO-protected cultural space where music, weaving and folklore have remained almost unchanged for centuries.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Tashkent → Termez
Flight to Termez. Afternoon visit to the Termez Archaeological Museum to set the historical scene.
Buddhist Termez
Full day: Karatepa cave-monastery, Fayaztepa stupa, the Jarkurgan minaret and the Sultan Saodat ensemble.
Sangardak & Boysun
Drive north to the Sangardak waterfall, then up to the Boysun mountains for an evening of traditional Boysun music.
Boysun → Tashkent
Morning walk to the Teshik-Tash cave area. Drive back to Termez airport for evening flight to Tashkent.
