Best Time to Visit Uzbekistan
The short answer: April–June and September–October
Uzbekistan is a year-round destination, but two windows stand out. Spring (April to early June) brings blooming orchards across the Fergana Valley and comfortable 22–28°C days in Samarkand and Bukhara. Autumn (September to October) is harvest season, markets overflow with melons, pomegranates and grapes, and the desert nights cool to perfection.
Summer (July–August)
Expect 38–42°C in the lowlands. Great for the mountains around Nuratau or Zaamin, harder for sightseeing in Khiva.
Winter (November–March)
Quiet medressas, dusted minarets and unbeatable photography light. Pack warm layers, Tashkent can hit -5°C.
